Doc McCoy (Alec Baldwin) is a convict in 1994 America, serving time while his wife Carol (Kim Basinger) works the outside for his release. The price is a heist for Jack Benyon (James Woods), a job that has to go clean before the two of them can run. Roger Donaldson, remaking Peckinpah's 1972 film, keeps the camera moving and lets the tension build from the first scene.
