In the 1942 follow-up to Son of Frankenstein, the Monster and the broken-necked shepherd Ygor (Bela Lugosi) are driven out of one village and make for another, where Henry Frankenstein's younger son Ludwig (Cedric Hardwicke) practices medicine. Erle C. Kenton sends them to his door with a demand to carry on his father's experiments. Ygor wants revenge and a new brain in the Monster's skull, and Ludwig's colleague Dr. Bohmer (Lionel Atwill) is ready to help.
