Ghost Story of Yotsuya

Iemon Tamiya (Shigeru Amachi), a ronin eager for wealth and a better name, begins to plot against his own wife, Iwa (Katsuko Wakasugi). Nobuo Nakagawa adapts the kabuki play Yotsuya Kaidan, and he has Iemon draw others into the scheme, among them Naosuke (Shuntarō Emi) and a family waiting on his decision. Iwa stays in the house, loyal to a husband who has already stopped looking at her.
