The Ghost Ship

“MYSTERY TERROR!”

Tom Merriam (Russell Wade) is a young third officer who signs onto a freighter and quickly comes to admire its captain, Will Stone (Richard Dix), a man who treats him like a friend. Then two members of the crew die under strange circumstances, and Tom starts to wonder whether the captain's authority is all it seems. Mark Robson, working for producer Val Lewton at RKO on a small budget, keeps the whole thing close and quiet, mostly inside the ship.
