The Giant of Marathon

A Persian army has landed, and the Greek soldier Phillipides (Steve Reeves) is made to lead the fight against it. Jacques Tourneur directs this loose retelling of the Battle of Marathon, with Mylène Demongeot as Andromeda and Sergio Fantoni as Teocrito. Behind the swords and shields sits a plain idea: a small, divided people has to stand together or be ruled by a stranger.
