The Gingerbread Man

“Based on an original story by John Grisham.”

Rick Magruder (Kenneth Branagh) is a successful defense attorney in Savannah, a man who wins cases and knows it. He gets involved with Mallory Doss (Embeth Davidtz), a waitress who comes to him frightened, with a father she says she cannot go near. Robert Altman keeps Rick and Mallory close through a night of their own making, and each lets the other in further than either meant to.
