The Gladiators

Some time in the future, East and West have given up their standing armies and nuclear weapons. In their place stand the International Peace Games, deadly small-scale battles fought between teams of drafted soldiers and broadcast around the world with commercials included. Peter Watkins follows a British General (Arthur Pentelow) and his staff officers as they run a game, men trained for war who now direct it like a show.
