The Glass Castle

(2017)Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton127 min · PG-13Drama
“Find beauty in the struggle.”

Jeannette Walls (Brie Larson) grows up in a family that keeps moving, sometimes as squatters, always short of money and one step ahead of the FBI. Her father, Rex (Woody Harrelson), drinks and fills the kids' heads with grand stories so they won't notice how little they have. Destin Daniel Cretton, working from Walls' memoir, sets a girl's love for her father against the cost of believing him.
