“A screenful of romance, music, spectacular in radiant COLOR”

Ella (Leslie Caron) works as a scullery maid in her stepfamily's house, mocked by the Widow Sonder (Elsa Lanchester) and kept at her chores. A prince (Michael Wilding) is the kind of life she can't picture for herself, until she crosses his path. Charles Walters stages it as a musical, and Ella is left holding the one glass slipper.
