The Godfather Part II

“The rise and fall of the Corleone empire.”

The story runs on two tracks, in Sicily and New York in the 1910s and in Las Vegas, Hollywood and Cuba in the 1950s. Young Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) builds a small enterprise on the streets of New York, while his son Michael (Al Pacino) tries to stretch the family business into Nevada and across the water. Francis Ford Coppola cuts between them, and Michael sits in a dark room in his compound, his brother Fredo (John Cazale) near him, the lights low.
