The Golden Cockerel

Dionisio Pinzón (Ignacio López Tarso), a poor man who keeps getting lucky in the cockfighting business, is taken on by the wealthy Lorenzo Benavides (Narciso Busquets). Roberto Gavaldón puts both men in love with the same woman, Bernarda, known as La Caponera (Lucha Villa). The film treats luck as a loan from the birds and the pit, and the lender always comes back for it.
