The Golem

“An ancient legend reborn”

Hanna (Hani Furstenberg) wants to keep her people alive, and when foreign invaders close in on her Jewish community, she turns to forbidden mysticism and conjures a creature to defend them. Benjamin (Ishai Golan) and the rest of the village have to live beside whatever she has made, and its mistress may not control it. Doron and Yoav Paz tell it as a period horror in the old folklore, and they call it the Jewish Frankenstein.
