The Good Mother

A small city in upstate New York, where the drug trade and the people who profit from it sit close to the surface. Marissa Bennings (Hilary Swank), a journalist, has lost her estranged son to a murder, and she teams up with his pregnant girlfriend Paige (Olivia Cooke) to find who is responsible. Miles Joris-Peyrafitte keeps the camera tight on the two women and lets the dread tighten with every door they knock on.
