The Graduate

“This is Benjamin. He’s a little worried about his future.”

Ben Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) returns home after college to find himself directionless and drowning in his parents' expectations. Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), the wife of his father's business partner, corners him one night and pulls him into an affair. When he falls for her daughter Elaine (Katharine Ross) and chases her toward the altar, then away from it, the two of them sit soaked and breathless in a church pew.
