The Grand Highway

Nine-year-old Louis (Antoine Hubert) is put on a train out of Paris and sent to a small town in Brittany for the summer. His mother Claire (Christine Pascal) is having a second baby, so she leaves him with her friend Marcelle (Anémone) and Marcelle's husband Pelo (Richard Bohringer). Jean-Loup Hubert watches the two adults, long married and not easy with each other, as the boy and Martine (Vanessa Guedj), the ten-year-old next door, wander around them.
