The Gravedigger's Wife

“The deeper the love, the greater the sacrifices.”

Nasra (Yasmin Warsame) has a kidney disease that keeps getting worse, and the surgery that would treat it costs more than her family has. Her husband Guled (Omar Abdi) digs graves on the outskirts of Djibouti City, and Khadar Ayderus Ahmed follows him as he tries to find the money. Their teenage son Mahad (Kadar Adboul-Aziz Ibrahim) stays close to his mother, and Guled keeps working.
