The Great Flamarion

(1945)Directed by Anthony Mann78 minCrime, Drama, Mystery
“Great with a gun!!”

A performer is found dead, and the story reaches back to explain how The Great Flamarion (Erich von Stroheim), a sharpshooter on the stage, came to be mixed up in it. Connie Wallace (Mary Beth Hughes), who performs beside him, works on every man around her, her husband Al (Dan Duryea) included. Anthony Mann sets Flamarion's loneliness against her calculation, and he mistakes her attention for affection.
