The Great Gatsby

“Dream dangerously.”

Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) has built a fortune in the shadow of the law, throwing lavish parties every weekend, hoping that Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan) will walk through his door. Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) becomes his confidant, drawn into a world of champagne and jazz and impossible longing. Luhrmann floods the screen with gold leaf and orchestral excess, but beneath the glitter lies a man betting everything on reclaiming the past.
