The Great Madcap
Somewhere in this household the money has stopped, or so the family tells Ramiro de la Mata (Fernando Soler), a widower who has spent years on parties and drink. His brother Ladislao (Andrés Soler) and the rest of the relatives have agreed to say nothing of the fortune until he learns to live on less. Luis Buñuel stages the whole scheme as a farce, in a Mexico City household crowded with relatives who are as indulgent as he is.
