The Great Mystical Circus

Celaví (Jesuíta Barbosa) wants to carry on the family circus his Austrian-Brazilian forebears opened in the 1910s, and to hold it together as the years wear it down. Carlos Diegues follows five generations of the Knieps family, from the circus's prime to its decadence in the early 21st century. Beside the ring runs a long, uneasy bond between Celaví and Margarete (Mariana Ximenes), a love that has to survive the same decline.
