The Great Outdoors

“This is no holiday… this is war!”

A weekend at a lakeside cabin in northern Wisconsin is all Chet Ripley (John Candy) wants for his family, a little fishing and some quiet with his wife Connie (Stephanie Faracy) and their two boys. Then Connie's brother-in-law, Roman Craig (Dan Aykroyd), pulls up with his wife Kate (Annette Bening) and their daughters, uninvited and sure of himself. Howard Deutch's film leaves the Ripleys one vacation to hold on to, and Roman has plans for it.
