The Great Wall
“1700 years to build. 5500 miles long. What were they trying to keep out?”
No one in the garrison will say what comes down on the Great Wall, only that it is what the whole fortress was built to hold back. William (Matt Damon) and Tovar (Pedro Pascal), European mercenaries who came to China for black powder, are taken prisoner inside it. Zhang Yimou fills the wall with Commander Lin Mae (Jing Tian) and her soldiers, rank on rank in colored armor.
