The Great Yokai War

Tadashi Ino (Ryunosuke Kamiki), a boy with a troubled home life, is named the "chosen" one and lands in the middle of a war between yōkai, the creatures of Japanese myth. The friendly yōkai he meets along the way become his companions, and together they set out to free their world from oppression. Takashi Miike keeps Tadashi at the center, a kid who would rather be somewhere else, fighting for his new friends anyway.
