The Green Shutters

Jules Maugin (Gérard Depardieu) is an actor at the height of his glory, and he wants to go on being the man everyone knows, the big mouth and the famous name. Jean Becker adapts Georges Simenon's 1950 novel, with a script by Jean-Loup Dabadie that was his last. Around Jeanne (Fanny Ardant) and the people closest to him, the public persona starts to give way, and what Jules stands to lose is the self he has been hiding behind.
