The Grey Fox

(1982)Directed by Phillip Borsos92 min · PGWestern, History
“In 1901, after 33 years in San Quentin Prison, Bill Miner, "The Gentleman Bandit", was released into the Twentieth Century.”

Bill Miner (Richard Farnsworth) is a soft-spoken stagecoach robber, known to the Pinkertons as the Gentleman Bandit, and in 1901 he walks out of prison after thirty-three years. The world outside has trains, cameras and moving pictures, none of which he knew, and the only trade he understands is robbery. Phillip Borsos follows him with Jackie Burroughs as Kate beside him, and Farnsworth rides on, an old man in a hat.
