A bitter creature living alone on a frozen mountain watches the town below light up each December with carols and wrapped presents. The Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch) devises a plan with his dog Max to slip down and strip Whoville of every decoration and gift. But a young girl named Cindy Lou Who (Cameron Seely) keeps crossing his path, and he learns that taking everything away from someone doesn't fill the hole it leaves in yourself.
