The Grizzlies

“What lies behind us is tiny compared to what lies within us.”

Russ Sheppard (Ben Schnetzer) is a new teacher in Kugluktuk, Nunavut, a small Arctic town with the highest suicide rate in North America. He hands his Inuit students lacrosse sticks, and Miranda de Pencier, working from a true story, follows the team that forms around Kyle Aviak (Booboo Stewart) and his classmates. The boys cross the schoolyard with those sticks over their shoulders, a team in the middle of a town that has lost too many young people.
