The Groove Tube

(1974)Directed by Ken Shapiro75 min · RComedy
“The most hilarious and wildest movie is here!”

Nobody tells you where the broadcast is coming from, only that the television is on and has opinions about everything. Ken Shapiro wrote, produced and stars in this 1974 sketch film, playing Ko-ko and a half dozen others while Richard Belzer and Chevy Chase turn up as a hooker, a president, and a pair of Fingers. It opens with Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up," the screen glowing in a dark room.
