The Group

Kay (Joanna Pettet), Dottie (Joan Hackett), Priss (Elizabeth Hartman) and their classmates are eight young women graduating from Vassar in 1933, each with a different idea of what comes next. Sidney Lumet follows them through marriages, jobs and disappointments over the seven years before the war begins in Europe. Through all of it, the group's bond is tested by Lakey (Candice Bergen), who has been abroad and returns changed.
