The Guard

“The FBI are about to discover that things work a little differently around here.”

Sergeant Gerry Boyle (Brendan Gleeson) wants to be left alone to do things his own way in a small town in the west of Ireland. Then FBI agent Wendell Everett (Don Cheadle), polite and by the book, arrives to track an international drug ring, and the two are made to work together. John Michael McDonagh sets Boyle's bluntness against Everett's good manners, and the question is which of them has the better idea of what justice looks like.
