The Gunfighter

(1950)Directed by Henry King85 minWestern
“His only friend was his gun... His only refuge - a woman's heart!”

Jimmy Ringo (Gregory Peck) is the fastest gun in the West, and all he wants now is to stop being him. Henry King follows Ringo into a small town where he hopes to see his estranged wife Peggy Walsh (Helen Westcott), while Marshal Mark Strett (Millard Mitchell) watches him from the street. Every man who learns his name is another challenger, and the time Ringo has left to make things right keeps running down.
