The H-Man
“People are dissolving! The horror of a flowing radioactive liquid!”
In Tokyo in 1958, a drug deal goes wrong and the suspect is gone by morning, leaving only a pile of clothes where a man should be. Inspector Tominaga (Akihiko Hirata) questions the missing man's wife, Chikako Arai (Yumi Shirakawa), a singer at a nightclub, and has her watched. Ishirō Honda sets the two of them in the club's smoky back rooms, where she is both his best lead and the person he is trying to protect.
