The Half of It

“A different kind of love story.”

Someone in Squahamish has been writing other people's essays for cash, and the sharpest student in school is the one doing it. Ellie Chu (Leah Lewis) takes a different kind of job when Paul Munsky (Daniel Diemer), a sweet and tongue-tied jock, asks her to write love letters to Aster Flores (Alexxis Lemire). Alice Wu lets the three of them settle into the story, Ellie's own feelings for Aster sitting quietly under every line she writes for him.
