The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

“Good help is hard to find.”

Polly (Maika Monroe) seems like the answer to a suburban couple's prayers when Caitlin (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Miguel Morales (Raúl Castillo) hire her to look after their newborn. Her motives, though, have little to do with lullabies, and Michelle Garza Cervera lets that fact hang in every doorway. This loose remake of the 1992 thriller is about how easily a family hands its most vulnerable member to a stranger.
