The Happiness of the Katakuris

“Love. Music. Horror. Volcanos. Cinema was never meant to be like this!”

The first guest at the Katakuris' new mountain guest house is found dead in his room, and the second one dies soon after. Rather than call anyone, the family buries them in the backyard, and the grave keeps filling. Takashi Miike has them break into song and claymation along the way, and Masao (Kenji Sawada) keeps the lodge open, determined that his family will stay together under one roof.
