The Hard Way

“There's only one way these two are going to get along...”

Nick Lang (Michael J. Fox), a Hollywood action star tired of being taken for a lightweight, gets assigned to a New York police captain who happens to be a fan. He's to ride along with Lt. John Moss (James Woods) and learn how a real cop acts, which means asking questions and copying everything Moss does. John Badham sets a serial-killer hunt under the pair, and it looks like Moss has been given a partner he never wanted.
