The Harvey Girls
“It's Blazing, Blistering Romance... in the wide open spaces!”
Susan Bradley (Judy Garland) boards a train heading west to marry a man she has only written to, and she ends up sharing the car with a lively crowd of young women bound for a remote whistle-stop. They are going to open a Harvey House restaurant there, and George Sidney fills the journey with song before anyone has served a plate. It is a story about strangers becoming a household, with a table and a shared job doing most of the work.
