The Hatter's Ghost

Someone in the Breton town of Concarneau keeps killing, and the only person who suspects the quiet hatter next door is Kachoudas (Charles Aznavour), the tailor who works across from him. Léon Labbé (Michel Serrault) lives as a respectable citizen, and Kachoudas starts watching him through the window. Claude Chabrol shoots the small, wet town with a patient eye and lets the unease build in the ordinary quiet.
