In New York in 2014, Cody (John Gallagher Jr.) has spent months in an online-only relationship with Virginia (Kate Lyn Sheil), who tells him she is living in Berlin. A detail in their calls makes him suspect she is in the same city, so he starts looking for her. Zachary Wigon keeps the two of them apart on screen, and the whole relationship rests on what Virginia says and Cody chooses to believe.
