The Heifer

Somewhere behind the Nationalist lines, a village is preparing to hold its festival around a bull. A platoon of Republican soldiers, hungry and badly matched, resolves to cross the front and take the animal before the celebration can start. Luis García Berlanga sends Brigada Castro (Alfredo Landa) and his men toward a bull that is, in the end, only meat to them.
