The Heroes of Telemark

Somewhere in rural Telemark, the Germans are producing heavy water, and Norway's resistance has to find a way to stop it. They send Knut Straud (Richard Harris) to recruit Dr. Rolf Pedersen (Kirk Douglas), a physicist who has no interest in becoming a saboteur. Anthony Mann builds the story on a true wartime operation, where the stakes were a weapon that could change who won the war.
