The Hill

“Never give up hope.”

Rickey Hill (Colin Ford) walks on braces, and the doctors have told him he won't walk well for long, yet he keeps swinging at a bat in the Texas lot behind his church. His father, James (Dennis Quaid), is the preacher in that pulpit, and he wants his son kept safe and kept away from the game. Jeff Celentano builds the film around the long, stubborn quiet between the two of them.
