The Hit

“Even bad guys have bad days.”

Two hired killers, Braddock (John Hurt) and the young Myron (Tim Roth), collect Willie Parker (Terence Stamp) and set off toward Paris, where he is meant to die for informing on his old mob friends ten years earlier. Stephen Frears keeps the journey ordinary at first, with Parker calm in the back seat while the two men in front grow edgy. Then things start to go wrong on the road, and the only man who seems unafraid is the one who is supposed to be dead.
