The Hitcher

“Never pick up strangers.”

A stranger they pick up on a rain-soaked New Mexico highway turns out to be someone who keeps showing up. Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) and his girlfriend Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) are college students driving at night, and John Ryder (Sean Bean) is the man who gets in their car, pulls a knife, and is thrown out onto the road. Dave Meyers leaves the couple the wet blacktop and the dark, with Ryder somewhere behind them in the rain.
