The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting

Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell), the survivor of a hitchhiker's earlier rampage, now wants only to drive his girlfriend Maggie (Kari Wührer) down a rural Texas highway without incident. Then Jack (Jake Busey) enters their lives, killing strangers along the road and arranging each death so the blame lands on the couple. Louis Morneau keeps the story on the open highway, where being innocent counts for nothing once someone has decided you're guilty.
