The Hole

“What Are You So Afraid Of?”

Dane Thompson (Chris Massoglia) is a teenager who has just moved with his younger brother Lucas (Nathan Gamble) and their mother into a new neighbourhood, and he is not happy about it. In the basement, he and Lucas find a padlocked trap door, and with their neighbour Julie (Haley Bennett) they open it onto a hole with no bottom. Joe Dante's film puts all three at risk, because whatever comes out of it takes the shape of whatever each of them fears most.
