The Holy Boy

“If we could rid ourselves of all our pains, would we still be ourselves?”

Sergio Rossetti (Michele Riondino), a PE teacher, takes a post in an isolated mountain village where everyone seems to live in unshakeable calm. Once a week the locals line up to be held by Matteo Corbin (Giulio Feltri), a lonely boy whose hug lifts the pain out of their souls. Paolo Strippoli follows Sergio as he tries to get the boy away from them, and the more he pushes, the more of his own dark side he lets loose.
