The Holy Girl

“She is both temptation and salvation.”

In a crowd, the visiting Dr. Jano (Carlos Belloso) presses up against Amalia (María Alché), a teenage girl who takes her Catholic faith as seriously as she takes her own restless body. She is repulsed, and she is also certain God has handed her a task: to save him from himself. Lucrecia Martel follows Amalia as she begins trailing the doctor, a girl watching a man and calling it devotion.
