The Honest Candidate

Mexico City, election week: Tonatiuh Pérez Prieto (Adrián Uribe), a career politician, has learned that power runs on favors and half-truths. His grandmother curses him the night before the final campaign push, and suddenly he cannot lie. Every question gets an answer stripped bare, every promise becomes impossible, and the closer he gets to the presidency, the more his honesty threatens to destroy everything he's built.
