Martha (Shirley Stoler), a lonely nurse, answers a letter from a correspondence club and finds Ray (Tony Lo Bianco), a charming con man who seduces single women and takes their money. When she learns what he does, she stays, posing as his sister and joining him on the road. Leonard Kastle shot it in grainy black and white, and the film leaves Martha nowhere to look but at Ray.
